Interested in becoming a part of The Actor's Green Room New York?
Check out our Intern Program
Here's how it works:
If you have been to an intensive or event at The Actor's Green Room, you may have noticed a certain camaraderie and level of professionalism and skill among our staff and interns that is incomparable to our competitors and most companies in general. This is not an accident. Our Hosts, Monitors and Readers are paid professionals who were at one time regular attendees at AGR for at least 2 years or more. They all worked comprehensively with me, Jen Rudolph, Owner of The Actor's Green Room, who got to observe their acting abilities, work ethics and overall energy. I do not just hire actors arbitrarily to be readers or to represent the company. Most of our staff members who you may see time and again have been working at The Actor's Green Room since it's inception. Our newest staff members, Melissa and Julia, came aboard in the last year or so but both started out as interns who ended up getting promoted.
So let's start at the ground level. How to become an intern.
To be considered for our Intern Program (which is essentially a work/study program which requires either a 3 or 6 month commitment) at The Actor's Green Room, you must be a familiar face aka a regular. Even our interns are well-screened. This means that most of our staff knows you and that you and I have met. I usually just end up asking some of our regulars to join our Intern Program but if the above criteria applies to you and you are interested in joining, please fill out the form below. If you are a newbie, I encourage you to become a regular at The Actor's Green Room and immerse yourself in our classes and intensives so that we get to know you. :)
